High-pressure forces of hot water, combined with light cleaning detergents, are propelled into the carpet, loosening dirt, soils, and grime. In almost the same motion, the suspended soils and hot water are extracted by a powerful vacuum suction generated by our truck-mounted vacuum pump. Carpet is immediately rinsed with hot water to completely flush out all cleaning detergents, leaving each carpet fiber residue-free and ph balanced. Additional passes with the carpet wand are made using vacuum suction only to ensure the maximum amount of water is extracted out from the carpet, leaving carpet dry-damp for a speedy drying time.
Carpet should be dry in 3-6 hours.
CARPET PROTECTION
Carpet protection helps keep your carpet cleaner for longer. It allows for easier removal of wet and dry soils, which extends the life of your carpet and the time between restorative cleanings.
How it works: Carpet protection works by forming an invisible shield around each carpet fiber. This shield is a low surface energy film that resists water and waterborne soils. Once treated, soils will not stick to the fiber surface; therefore, when the fibers are cleaned, the soil is released. Liquid spills will bead up on the surface of the carpet pile and dry soils can be vacuumed more easily.
How often should carpet protection be applied? Carpet manufacturers apply a protective coating or finish to new carpet. Over time, this finish becomes worn down by abrasive soils and normal foot traffic. We highly recommend the application of carpet protection once every 18-24 months. Keep in mind some warranties require that your carpets be cleaned and re-protected within every 18 months. The best time to apply carpet protection is after a periodic restorative cleaning.
